| Its hard to believe, but this was the train of the day. NJT 4112, has rescued an ailing NJT 4538 on train 5439 in Union, NJ 7/1/2024. Its very rare to see the former CNJ Geeps on home rails. Its also rare to see a former CNJ Deep hauling multilevel coaches as the HEP generators cannot power the number of multilevel coaches that are typically on an NJT train. Only the PL42ACs and ALP45DPs can power a full train set of multilevel equipment. Therefore the 4538 is able to provide, the HEP while the 4112 provides the tractive effort. See less |
